Natyashastra (Treatise on Theatre) is an ancient treatise and handbook on various
aspects of classical theater and various dance forms are believed to emerge from it. It

contains detailed accounts of positions, facial expressions, eye expressions, music, dance
and aesthetic movements. It is believed to be written to educate common men and
women the importance of dance/theatre as a path to appease Gods and as a result
achieve enlightenment.

This coach depicts some of the classical as well folk dance forms of the country including
Bharatnatyam (Tamil Nadu), Bhangra (Punjab), Giddha (Punjab), Dandia (Gujarat),
Manipuri (Manipur) and Kathakali (Kerala).
